Hospice Volunteer Department Seeks Admin Volunteer!

At AccentCare Hospice of Connecticut, our volunteers bring comfort, dignity, and connection to patients and families facing the end of life. While many volunteers work directly with patients, this unique opportunity supports the heart of our volunteer program itself- helping us stay organized, efficient, and ready to serve! If you enjoy organizing, creating order, and being part of a compassionate mission-driven team, this role is a meaningful way to give back. What We Are Looking For: Detail-oriented and organized Comfortable working independently on structured tasks Reliable and able to maintain confidentiality Friendly, warm, and aligned with a compassionate mission The ideal volunteer candidate would be able to support both our Farmington office and our Middlebury office. Otherwise, you can be assigned to the office that is most convenient for you! What You'll Do: Organize and maintain volunteer supply cabinets and materials Assist with auditing and organizing volunteer files Prepare paper packets and materials for volunteer onboarding and trainings Support special projects (event prep, mailings, program organization) Help ensure our volunteer program runs smoothly Comprehensive volunteer orientation, health screenings, and training is required and provided free of charge. As a member of our Hospice Interdisciplinary Team, ongoing support, and education opportunities are also available. The time commitment for volunteering is flexible and based on your availability. 2-4 hours per week would be ideal.
